Aggy stopped by my office today, and I noticed that I have not updated my progress in a year to the date. So here is a bit of history:
- Finished Classes
- Gave RPC Talk and passes
- Finished Green Galaxy Paper and submitted it to astro-ph, and APJ
- Gave talk on Green Galaxies at the AEGIS meeting
- Gave a poster at the CGE meeting
- Started work on irAGNs in the PRIMUS group
- Went to the Astrostats Workshop
- Observed on Keck hires, lris and esi.
- Traveled to Joshua Tree, Santa Cruz, Seattle, Lopez Island, Tucson, State College, Monterey, Irvine, Los Angeles, Anza Borrego, Laguna Mountains, Julian, Holy Jim, Cuyamaca, Oceanside-San Marcos-Carlsbad, Del Mar, Vancouver, Whistler, Wenatchee, Chelan, Methow, Winthrop, and Others?
- Biked up and down the coast for donuts, did the Filthy Landlubber’s bike crawl, and critical mass a couple of times.
- Collected a years worth of GPS data 10K+ of photos, 4k tweets
- Learned ObjC, and Improved my Python, IDL, C.
- Started a company, built a Monome, and built 4 applications.
- Helped make a Turducken, Bacon explosion, and had three thanksgivings and two sonoran hot dogs.
- Shot shotguns, and hand guns.
- Saw the Pixies, ZZ Top, RATATAT, Weezer, The Hood Internet.
- oh yeah… got older.

So pretty productive year, but only 2 of the 5 of the items for the PhD and I decided to add another item to the list. So heres whats left:
- Write papers + do Research
- Advance to Candidacy [Timeline: Within 1years]
- 5 Professor Committee [3 Physics, 2 outside Physics]
- Focus on the work for the Thesis.
- Give ~50min lecture length talk about what Project and larger implications.
- Write & Defend Thesis [Timeline: Within 2years]
- This is going to be trouble.
- Get a postdoc.
